Been learning CSS (cascading style sheets) recently.

For anyone who doesn't know, it's a more efficient and powerful method of laying out text for the internet than using html alone.

Here are the fruits of my labour thus far... A re-make of my dad's website.

It's getting to the stage where I'm gonna have to introduce levels.

At the moment, with all the mini letters appearing as you make mistakes, it gets hard quite fast if you're not a good typist.

Everything moves a little more randomly now.

I'm trying to bring a 3Dish effect in...

Oh, and click that little Ice thingy and all the words will freeze temporarily.

Infinite uses, but can only be used again after the previous use has fully worn off.

If anyone wondered why I changed the ship's design, it's because the original was taken from an image found on google images (which I can't find anymore).

All sprites from now-on will be my own design.

But then again the ship isn't really a useful part of the game so far...

Re-written the code from scratch for the third time.

I think it's pretty flexible now, so fingers crossed I can do more stuff with it without re-writing it again.

When you type word, you shoot them with real-life bullets now.

Bagging cars in beds with knives, flags and bricks on airborne-legged-tables with my brother" may sound like fun... but that was likely the most horrific 5 hours of my life.

This was another... different pack I had to make.

Was helping Dad at work.

Packing... packs. The objects are used in tests for people with brain.

Needed 75 of each toy... a Red and a Blue car which were on top of a bed. One red, one blue and one green block, on top of an upside-down table with a toy knife and flag on top of the blocks.

Then we had to put the stuff into bags... yes, bags not boxes... and make sure they stayed in the bag in a certain position, ready for the people who need to pack the bags into boxes of a certain size.

We also had to pack two other types of pack.

Boring as sin...

A project I started as my final project in Uni I'm hopefully finishing up soon.
Basically an info-graphic displaying certain 'numerific' contrasts between the UK and the Philippines.

There's almost 50,000 people on the UK image, (that's about 1 to every 1,200 people in the real UK, that figure was used to represent the 1,200 convicted murderers, so there will be just the one in the image) then about one and a half times that many on the Philippines one (with 5 murderers.)

The circles in the middle will be the right size to circle the amount of people that the ring represents.

The rings aren't finished yet, they're just place-holders.

Just putting this up unfinished to show that I'm not just slacking, I'm doing stuff!

Just this stuff takes a bit longer than some other stuff did...

Still no fun...

Dad said my route is about a mile.

Google maps says about 1.2 miles...

...so I think I ran about a mile today before my lungs stopped working.

Not a particularly special day.
But it was nice to get a few messages from people on facebook, contrived as they may be.

Had an amazing sponge cake and thick cream for desert... Really was an awesome cake.
Funny that the first time I remember my birthday being on a weekend for a while and I'm not making much use of it.

But I decided that it sounded like quite a nice idea to run in gentle rain... And I decided to try running around a different block.

Turns out, the route I took is quite a lot further than I'd expected...

And the rain had apparently just started...

So I am now much wetter...

And much tireder.... more tired? than I'd planned...

Ping Pong

Been working on a Pong game recently, my first flash... umm... thing? that I've created without help from a tutorial.

At the moment I've made a 2 separate 1 player versions, and I'm in the process of making a 2 player version.

One paddle

Two paddles

Once they're all made I'll merge them into one game with an option of which mode to play in.

(Just noticed the ball looks really small on both pics... It changes size randomly, it won't always be so small!)
